Barstool Sportsbook is planning to make its Indiana debut by the end of April.
It will be joining a diverse set of 10 online sportsbooks when it finally opens for business in the Hoosier State.
Barstool Sportsbook coming to Indiana
Barstool plans to launch in every legal sports betting state by the end of the year.
Hoosiers have been patiently waiting for the company to make its way to Indiana.
The sportsbook is already up and running in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Illinois. From the sounds of it, Indiana will be Barstool Sportsbook’s fourth market in the US.
The news comes from Penn National Gaming CEO Jay Snowden, who says that Indiana is coming up on the launch list.
“At Barstool we’ve had a great first four or five days since March Madness started, and to your point there’s a lot of states in the queue. We’re going to be live in Indiana hopefully by the end of April.”
Penn National owns Barstool, so the company ultimately controls when the online sportsbook will launch.
The retail in-person version of Barstool Sportsbook is already open for business at two of Penn’s Indiana casinos.
If you want to get a look at the Barstool brand before its online launch, then you’ll have to head over to Ameristar East Chicago or Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg.
Online sportsbooks have to partner up with a retail casino in Indiana, so Barstool’s online book will be working with one of those two properties.
What to expect from Barstool Sportsbook
Since Barstool Sportsbook is already up and running in Illinois and Michigan, Indiana is just the next phase of Penn’s Midwest blitz.
Overall, the Barstool brand tends to cater to younger audiences.
The company leverages the popularity of its personalities to help attract new gamblers to the sportsbook.
In particular, the Pardon My Take crew makes regular appearances for Barstool.
As one of the most popular sports podcasts in the country, the show has a ton of brand recognition, especially for those younger audiences.
Barstool Sportsbook promotions
Barstool loves to pump out all sorts of unique promotions that you can’t find anywhere else.
For example, sportsbook users might notice special promotions centered around personalities like Dave Portnoy, Barstool’s founder.
Promotions such as “Bet With Dave” will show gamblers what Portnoy is betting on and let them get in on the action if they’re interested.
Unique promotions like that have become the norm over in Michigan and Illinois. This will likely be the case when Barstool launches in Indiana as well.
Take this March Madness betting promotion as another example.
The #BarstoolSportsbook Buzzer Beaters promo is now live in exclusive section for March Madness.
You can bet by day or entire tourney. The more buzzer beaters the more you win. A buzzer beater is defined as a game winning shot with 2 or less seconds.

Let’s face it, buzzer beaters are a ton of fun, and that’s exactly what Barstool is hoping to capitalize on.
Unique promotions like these are geared towards the most exciting parts of sports to help attract gamblers.
Barstool Sportsbook plans to launch in Indiana before the end of April, which puts the company’s debut fairly close to the Indianapolis 500.
Who knows, Hoosiers might end up with a special promotion just for the big race.
We won’t know for sure until later this spring, but until then, Indiana’s Barstool faithful will be patiently waiting.
