The Chicago Bears are looking to step things up after a disappointing showing last season. This time around, the team will be hunting for a return to the playoffs.
Indiana’s sports betting apps are already adding tons of betting options for the upcoming NFL season. Although the options differ between sportsbooks, plenty of the choices on the board involve the Bears.
DraftKings and BetRivers are taking wagers on the end of season awards
The Bears have a handful of their players on the list of possible MVP winners this season.
Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles are two of those betting options. Since both players are on the team’s roster, the starting quarterback spot is up in the air.
Right now, DraftKings and BetRivers have the same MVP odds up for Chicago’s players. Here’s a look at those options.
- Khalil Mack: +10,000
- Mitch Trubisky: +15,000
- Nick Foles: +15,000
You can also place a wager on either quarterback to win the Comeback Player of the Year award. DraftKings and BetRivers have identical odds for the award, with Trubisky at +10,000 and Foles at +2,000.
Star linebacker Khalil Mack is also on the shortlist of contenders for Defensive Player of the Year.
Both DraftKings and BetRivers have Mack at +1,200 odds to win. Nick Bosa at +1,000 and Aaron Donald at +700 are the only players with better odds.
If you think Bears Head Coach Matt Nagy will claim the NFL’s Coach of the Year award, DraftKings and BetRivers have you covered.
Yet again, both sportsbooks have the same odds, with Nagy at +4,000 to win the award for the second time in three seasons.
Win total betting for the Bears with BetMGM
Last season the Bears struggled to break even. The team’s 8-8 record last time around was certainly a disappointment that Chicago will be looking to improve on next season.
BetMGM is taking wagers on exactly how many wins the team will end up with. The middle tier of options are the most likely.
- Exactly 6 wins: +500
- Exactly 7 wins:+300
- Exactly 8 wins:+275
- Exactly 9 wins:+300
- Exactly 10 wins:+500
- Exactly 11 wins:+1,000
You can bet on the team landing on anywhere from 0-16 wins, but both ends of the spectrum are long shots. For example, the Bears are +250,000 to win 0 games next season, and a whopping +2,500,000 to win 16 games.
Over/under betting on Chicago’s win total is also an option. Under 8.5 is the -159 favorite at BetMGM with the over at +130.
Betting on Chicago’s playoff future and specific matchups with FanDuel
The Bears failed to right the ship last season after a disappointing “double doink” end to their playoff run in 2019.
FanDuel is offering bets on whether or not Chicago will be able to slide into the postseason this time around. The Bears are favored to fall short for the second straight year at -194, with their odds to make the playoffs at +158.
FanDuel also has spread betting available for a handful of Chicago’s home games this season.
- Bears vs Buccaneers: Buccaneers -1, Bears +1
- Bears vs Giants: Bears -4.5, Giants +4.5
- Bears vs Colts: Bears -1.5, Colts +1.5
That game against the Indianapolis Colts is a rare one since the two teams typically only meet for preseason action. They haven’t faced off in the regular season since 2012.
PointsBet and the Bears’ Super Bowl chances
It would be a surprise if the Bears made a serious run at a title next season.
However, if you’re feeling good about Chicago’s Super Bowl chances, PointsBet will let you bet on them. The sportsbook has the Bears at +5,000 to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
In addition to odds on the Bears winning the championship, PointsBet will also let you place a bet on a slew of potential matchups involving the team. Chicago doesn’t have to win the Super Bowl for these bets to hit, but both of the listed teams will have to make the big game.
- Bears vs Steelers:+24,000
- Bears vs Colts:+24,000
- Bears vs Titans:+30,000
- Bears vs Browns:+36,000
- Bears vs Chargers:+43,000
Those are only a handful of the potential Super Bowl matchups that PointsBet has odds. There’s plenty of extra options for several teams, including the Bears.
BetAmerica’s odds on the Bears and the NFC
BetAmerica is taking wagers on all things NFC North. The Bears finished third in the division last season.
Chicago isn’t favored to come out on top next year, but it wouldn’t be a shock to see the team make a push for the division title. Here’s how the odds are looking for every team.
- Green Bay Packers: +170
- Minnesota Vikings:+170
- Chicago Bears:+350
- Detroit Lions:+700
BetAmerica also has odds up on which team will end up winning the NFC Championship.
The Bears are at +2,000 to beat out the rest of the pack. Nine different NFC teams have better odds.
Those are only a few examples of the NFL futures that are already up at Indiana’s sportsbooks. As the season draws closer, expect more betting options on Chicago’s games and players to become available.
