Colts Are Slight Favorites In First Preseason Game Against Panthers

Posted on August 13, 2021

The Indianapolis Colts are ready to kick off their preseason schedule this weekend.

The Colts will be facing off with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. That matchup will be the first of three preseason games for the team this month.

Colts-Panthers is also the only NFL game on this Sunday, so fans won’t have to choose between watching one game or another.

Thankfully, you can bet on all the preseason action using Indiana’s legal online sportsbooks.

Colts vs. Panthers preseason odds

Indy has some holes to patch heading into the regular season.

Quarterback Carson Wentz is out of commission along with guard Quenton Nelson. The two might be able to play in time for week one, but that still calls for some adjustments during the preseason.

The duo could have been out for as long as 12 twelve weeks after their foot surgeries earlier this month. It seems like things are heading in the right direction, which is obviously great news for Colts fans.

Jacob Eason is getting the starting quarterback nod for Sunday’s matchup, but he doesn’t have the job locked-up indefinitely.

Sam Ehlinger has been making some waves at practice. Don’t be surprised to see him getting reps during the preseason games as well.

Despite the uncertainty at the quarterback spot, the Colts are still the slight favorites against the Panthers.

BetRivers NFL Preseason Bet and Get

BetRivers has a new promotion on the board that covers all of the preseason action.

The sportsbook is handing out bonus bets to football bettors. The “Preseason Bet and Get” is available for both new and existing users, so everyone can get in on the fun.

First thing’s first, you’ll need to create an account with BetRivers Indiana if you haven’t already done so.

Next, you’ll have to bet at least $50 on four preseason games each week. Once you do, BetRivers will credit your account with a $25 bonus bet.

The bonus bet is available for all three weeks of preseason action. In other words, you can use it to bet on Colts games until the regular season starts.

The only stipulation is that your four bets will need odds of -200 or greater. So for example, a wager with +100 odds would be fine, but a bet at -300 wouldn’t qualify you for the promotion.

This deal is a great option for gamblers that already planned to bet on the NFL preseason. If you’re already wagering, then you might as well stick with BetRivers to win a bonus bet out of it.
