Pat McAfee Ends The NFL Season As A Losing Gambler

Posted on January 10, 2022

Pat McAfee couldn’t save his NFL betting record during Week 18. He has officially ended the year as a losing gambler.

The latest batch of Pat’s Picks went 7-9 over the weekend. That brought his final record for the season down to 120-129.

The FanDuel Sportsbook personality had a chance to save his season in the final week, but the odds were stacked up against him. It would have taken a dominate Week 18 record to pull things into positive territory at the last minute.

Should you bet with Pat McAfee?

You were a losing gambler if you took all of Pat’s Picks this NFL season.

However, that wasn’t the case last year. The former Indianapolis Colts punter finished last season one game above even.

So, is it worth it for fans to bet with McAfee over the course of the season? The answer depends on what you’re looking for.

If you’re looking to make money, then no, you shouldn’t follow anyone’s sets of picks religiously. Very few people are winning gamblers over the long term, sports media personalities included.

Paid picks fall even more into that category. Shelling out your hard-earned cash for “expert” picks isn’t a good idea.

Despite that, bonus betting options like Pat’s Picks still have some non-monetary value.

If you’re a fan of McAfee, AJ Hawk and the rest of The Pat McAfee Show’s crew, then betting along with them could be a fun way to engage with the show throughout the season. Just don’t expect to make it rich off of McAfee’s or anyone else’s picks.

That’s a good thing to keep in mind with the NFL postseason right around the corner.
