An 0-3 week for Pat McAfee on College Gameday

McAfee made his return to College GameDay after taking last week off.

He makes three college football picks every Saturday on the show but decided to mix things up this week.

Since the Masters took place over the weekend, McAfee used one of his picks to bet on Tiger Woods to win the tournament.

That pick didn’t come through for him, and neither did his other football selections. That 0-3 showing has his overall GameDay record at 14-13 for the season.

2020 Masters betting

Pat’s Pick: Tiger Woods to win the Masters

Pat’s Explanation:

“Tiger Woods is going back-to-back at the Masters. That is an absolute lock, he’s five under he just finished his second round about 10 minutes ago.”

Final Score: Dustin Johnson (-20) wins, Woods T38 (-1)

Pat’s Pick: Over 68

Pat’s Explanation:

“Listen, this thing’s going to be a pew pew pew SHOOTOUT! Who can get a stop? I’m not 100% sure. Miami should win this mighty handily. The fact that Virginia Tech is favored scares me a little bit so I’m just going to hammer the over and keep it moving.”

Final Score: Miami 25, Virginia Tech 24

Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Boston College Eagles

Pat McAfee NFL Picks

Another week, another big slate of NFL betting picks for McAfee.

The Vikings came through for him in that game, so McAfee’s NFL Week 10 record finished at 4-3. That puts him at 25-17 for NFL the season.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Pat’s Pick: Steelers -5.5

Final Score: Steelers 36, Bengals 10

Did Pat Win? Yes

Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears

Pat’s Pick: Vikings -2.5

Pat’s Explanation:

“I love Chuck Pagano, obviously, but it feels like that (Chicago) offense hasn’t been able to move. It’s not Chuck’s fault but the Bears stink.”

Final Score: Vikings 19, Bears 13

Did Pat Win? Yes

Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots

Pat’s Pick: Ravens -6.5

Pat’s Explanation:

“I feel like Lamar Jackson last week had a lot of fun. Any time that you potentially cause a little bit of a problem inside your building, normally you’re going to come out and ball out the next game.”

Final Score: Patriots 23, Ravens 17

Did Pat Win? No

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Miami Dolphins

Pat’s Pick: Chargers +1.5

Pat’s Explanation:

“I like the Chargers just because this is a big matchup here, everybody knows it. Herbert-Tua, the whole team is going to show up. This is going to be a great game. I like the Chargers to win it even though they are very good at losing games.”

Final Score: Dolphins 29, Chargers 21

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers

Pat’s Pick: Buccaneers -5.5

Final Score: Buccaneers 46, Panthers 23

Pat McAfee FanDuel Super Boost

Since McAfee is a FanDuel personality, the sportsbook often gives him a weekly Super Boost promotion.

Those boosts are typically three team teasers, and that was no different this time around.

Pat’s Pick: Chargers +8.5, Ravens -1, Packers -6.5

Did Pat Win? No, Ravens and Packers fail to cover

Pat McAfee’s new betting record

So far, you’ve been a winner if you’ve taken all of Pat’s Picks throughout the football season.

However, that might not be the case for long if things keep going downhill.

Between his GameDay and NFL picks, McAfee’s overall betting record is now 39-30.

McAfee usually does most of his best work on his NFL picks, so hopefully the NFL Week 11 slate can turn things around for him.
