Work to build the newest Indiana casino continues on schedule to open at the end of March or early April 2024. The Terre Haute Casino Resort is under construction at a 50-acre site on the east side of Terre Haute.
With most of the exterior taken care of, the work is now mainly focused on the amenities inside the building. The casino has been posting construction updates on social media to give future customers a sneak peek at what’s to come.
A look inside new Terre Haute Casino Resort
Folks in the Hoosier State got another look inside the newest Indiana casino. With Indiana online casinos seemingly distant from legalization, news on the brick-and-mortar front is as exciting as it gets for gamblers in the state.
One of the released photos shows the progress made on the Crossroads Center Bar. When it’s finished, customers can catch all kinds of sporting events.
Meanwhile, construction of the resort’s Restaurant Row is well underway. The casino will offer several amenities, including a 122-room luxury hotel, five restaurants and six bars.
The casino’s 56,000-square-foot gaming floor will feature 1,000 slots and video poker machines, as well as 35 table games.
More employees needed
The Terre Haute Casino is continuing its push to hire more employees. The company has held several job fairs in recent months.
The casino is bringing an estimated 500 full and part-time jobs to the community. With plans to open its doors early in 2024, interviews are underway. Open positions include:
- Dealers

Terre Haute Casino is an ongoing project for parent company Churchill Downs. The Indiana Gaming Commission approved the $290 million project in November 2021.
