Caesars became Indiana’s seventh online sportsbook when it launched in May 2020. Licensed by the Indiana Gaming Commission and the company’s third online sports betting site, Caesars Indiana is poised to become one of the state’s biggest players.
In this Caesars Sportsbook review, we’ve analyzed everything it has to offer. From the welcome bonus of a first bet match worth up to $1,001 to the world-class loyalty program and myriad betting options, we’ve weighed up all the facets. And you read that correctly, Caesars is giving away free bets worth up to $1,001 thanks to its bet match new player bonus. Sign up with Caesars Sportsbook here or keep reading to find out exactly how that welcome bonus works.
From our perspective, the desktop and mobile options are already fantastic. However, we’re also confident there’s much more to come. So, if you’re ready to learn more, come with us as we take you through our Caesars Indiana Sportsbook review.
New verified users at Caesars Sportsbook will see their opening bet matched 100% for up to $1,001 just for using our links and entering the Caesars Indiana promo code LEGALRF. Here’s how to get your hands on it.
|Indiana Sportsbook||Caesars Sportsbook|
|Caesars Indiana Promo Code||LEGALRF|
|First Bet Match||100% up to $1,001|
|Last Updated||November 2021|
The first bet match promo is only good for new users. If you already have an account with Caesars, no dice. To claim this stellar offer just follow these steps and you’ll receive your bet match worth a maximum of $1,001.
So if you follow all of the instructions and lose your first bet, Caesars will credit you back the amount of your first wager in full up to the max of the offer. You can use the free bet like normal, and any winnings from that wager will be yours to keep.
From a general perspective, $1,001 is probably the best offer you’ll find at an Indiana sportsbook. Risk-free bet and deposit matches are fine, but frankly, this is better than what you’ll currently find at DraftKings, FanDuel, BetRivers, PointsBet and Unibet.
Naturally, you have to be 21 or older and located in Indiana to get this offer. The free bet is also non-cashable.
The top-end value is enough to suit bettors at all levels, and the wagering conditions are fair. This, alongside the fact that Caesars has demonstrated its capability of running mega promotions (i.e. credit giveaways), makes it a top player on the promo scene.
Caesars Indiana likes to follow the two Ts rule when it comes to promotions: timing and tailored. What we mean by this is that the team will create promos based on the latest goings-on in the sports betting world.
For example, if it’s Super Bowl time, you’ll find a promotion based on that. When it’s March Madness or the World Series, there will be deals to suit. In this sense, every promotion is timed to be perfect.
Then you’ve got the fact that offers will be emailed to you directly. By electing to receive updates, you will receive details of the latest promotions and, in turn, deals that are relevant to you. This is what makes them tailored as well as timed to perfection.
In terms of what you can expect, the promos will cover all the main bases:
The above will form the foundation of what Caesars offers. The team will then tailor the offers to suit what’s happening in sports.
In addition to a wave of regular promotions, Caesars is linked to a famous reward program. Known around the world, this loyalty deal is available to all customers. From casino patrons in Las Vegas to sports bettors in Indiana, Caesars Rewards is a way for everyone to earn something extra.
The program is made up of four tiers: Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Seven Stars. To improve your status, you need to earn points at rate of one per $10 wagered on sports. As you move up the rankings, you’ll receive an increasing number of comps and bonuses. These fall broadly into two categories:
Bonus credits are an interesting facet because you get them by exchanging points. As you earn tier points, you also earn reward points. It’s the latter that you can convert into bonus cash. The current conversion rate is 1,000:10. In other words, you’ll receive $10 for every 1,000 reward points you exchange.
The key point to note here is that the bonus is credited as real cash. This means there aren’t any post-collection wagering conditions and, therefore, you can withdraw the money at will. That’s fantastic and a testament to the quality of Caesars Rewards and the company’s overall attitude toward added value.
The Caesars Sportsbook app looks fantastic. Compared to other online sports betting apps, the developers have focused on style as well as substance. Indeed, what we commonly see across many top US sportsbooks are plain backgrounds, lifeless menus and uninspiring boxouts.
Now, before we move on, it’s important to say these qualities aren’t necessarily a bad thing. In the pursuit of speed and efficiency, scaling back on certain page elements is required. However, Caesars manages to strike the perfect balance between ease of use and aesthetics.
For example, when you land on the homepage or download the app, you’ll notice that part of the background is made up of sports images. These add some extra interest to the page without being distracting. Because the images have been toned down and appear in black and white, they don’t stand out.
In fact, because the rest of the page consists of black-and-white boxouts, the images blend in nicely. This means the menu (a black boxout with white text) is always clearly visible. The same goes for the latest betting lines in the center of the page (white boxout with black text).
In terms of navigation and settings, everything is designed to be scalable. If you’re using the desktop site, page elements will move and resize to ensure the important data is visible at all times. On the app (iOS and Android), it’s the same. The sports menu and relevant odds dominate the screen, while the bet slip hides away until you need it.
Instead of showing you the full list of betting lines for a contest, Caesars gives you the highlights. Symbols (e.g. a basketball or a football, etc.) are used to break up the lists of odds, and you can get a quick overview of the day’s top bets in seconds. Then, when you want to see more, you can click on the + icon to reveal all the available wagers.
Finally, you’ve got the option to switch between American, fractional and decimal odds. You can also check the start date, time and exactly when the action is about to start (via a timer) all within the same boxout as the odds.
Overall, there’s very little to criticize about Caesars Sportsbook. The interface is attractive while maintaining a clean and simple vibe. The odds tables are clear, and there are plenty of extras to help you find what you’re looking for.
When we conducted this review, the list of betting options was fairly limited. However, it’s worth noting that the app had only been live for a few weeks. Therefore, we’re confident Caesars will be adding more options to its list as time and technology permits.
During our review, we were able to bet on the following sports:
One notable exception from this list is esports as this isn’t permitted under Indiana’s sports betting laws.
There are other sports we’d also expect to see added in the future. For example, over at Caesars New Jersey, there are markets for rugby league and table tennis. There’s also a “specials” category, which allows customers to bet on records/achievements in sports as well as pop culture events.
So, while the list of sports was somewhat limited during our review, that doesn’t mean it will stay that way. As the app evolves and grows, there will be plenty of action to speculate on.
To place a bet at Caesars Indiana, you’ll have to meet or exceed the minimum stake. Reading through the house rules, Caesars doesn’t specify a set limit. Instead, it says the “company” has the power to “determine the minimum and maximum” bet for a given contest.
In simple terms, this means Caesars Sportsbook can adjust the min/max stake as required based on the event and type of bet you’re making. However, during our review, we were able to test the waters with a few bets that were as low as $0.02.
Based on this, we can say with confidence that a bet of $0.10 should more than meet the minimum stake. That’s extremely low and something novices should be happy to see.
When it comes to making pre-event wagers, Caesars offers the following:
In addition to singles, you’ll be able to make multiples, aka accumulators. Caesars Sportsbook offers parlays and teasers, both of which allow you to string various bets together and roll them into one. For the bet to be successful, all parts (legs) need to be correct. Because of this, parlays and teasers offer longer odds than singles.
In addition to pre-event bets, Caesars offers in-play markets. Otherwise known as live bets, these options cover a variety of outcomes but can only be placed on an event that’s in progress. For example, during a baseball game, you can place live bets on the outright winner, point spreads, over/under certain totals and time-based predictions (i.e. X will happen within the next Y period).
Live bets are a great way to add some drama to a sporting contest. What’s more, they’re perfect if you’re someone who can read the flow of a game and react quickly. Indeed, if you can spot something before the oddsmakers do, you’ve got a shot at getting the best odds possible. In essence, in-play betting is like a game of cat and mouse. If you’re skilled enough to become the cat, you get more value than you otherwise would.
Caesars Sportsbook has been inspired by its European cousins. Across the pond, where online sports betting has thrived for more than a decade, operators introduced a system known as cashout a few years ago. The premise is simple: you can cash out a bet before its natural conclusion.
Caesars Indiana offers this very option. Whenever you place a pre-event bet, be it a single or a multiple, you can cash it in before it expires (i.e. before an outcome has been decided). All available cashouts are shown on your bet slip in their own special tab. We really like the way Caesars has done this. Some operators bury the cashout feature within the bet slip. Caesars doesn’t.
When you choose the cashout option, you’ll see the bets you can end early and, more importantly, the amount you’ll receive (i.e. the cashout price). The price is based on how your picks are performing/expected to perform and will almost always be less than you stand to win.
However, the beauty of cashouts is that you can lock up a smaller profit before things turn against you. Of course, you could end a bet early and miss out on some money. However, this is the calculated gamble you have to take.
To create an account at Caesars Sportsbook, you need to be at least 21 years old and located within state lines. To prove the former, you’ll have to supply a valid form of ID and part of your Social Security number. To show you’re within the state, you’ll have to enable the site’s geolocation software.
Once you’ve cleared those hurdles, you’ll be able to register an account and bet on your favorite sports. To join Caesars, follow these steps:
