Somewhere in Indiana, one Hoosier has quite the bundle of money heading in their direction.
That someone, who has yet to claim their winning Powerball lottery ticket, walked into a gas station in southern Indiana and came out with a winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000.
That’s a solid amount of money, even after taxes. With the hunt on to find this individual, it’s likely they’ll pop up in the near future.
Winning ticket is already out there
Again, not much is known about who bought this lottery ticket. For now, it’s a waiting game for the individual to appear. What we do know are a few of the basic facts about the Hoosier Lottery ticket.
The mystery winner matched four out of the five numbers and the Powerball number on his winning ticket. That’s tough to pull off, which is why they ended up winning $50,000.
The lottery ticket was sold at a Huck’s gas station, 7322 Oak Grove, in Newburgh.
Monday’s winning numbers were 23-25-35-63-64 with the Powerball of 25.
If someone reading this is the owner of the $50,000 winning ticket, call the Hoosier Lottery customer service. Their phone number is 1-800-955-6886.
Wait continues for online Hoosier Lottery
Although Newburgh’s lucky winner came from a Powerball ticket, that person couldn’t buy that ticket online.
The Hoosier Lottery previously tried to add online games to its lineup, but local lawmakers managed to shut those efforts down.
Online lottery games were also a part of an online casino bill that would have expanded gambling in Indiana. That bill would legalized online casinos, internet poker and mobile lottery games in the state.
Unfortunately for gamblers, that bill ended up falling short in the statehouse earlier this year.
Lotto lovers still have plenty of options for buying tickets in Indiana, but they’ll have to be patient when it comes to online sales.
