Astros Favored In Game 1 Of 2021 World Series At Indiana Sportsbooks

Posted on October 26, 2021 - Last Updated on October 29, 2021

The 2021 World Series begins tonight with the Atlanta Braves heading to Houston to take on the Astros.

The first matchup of the series will get underway at 8:09 p.m. If you’re looking to watch the game, then you can catch all of the action live on FOX.

World Series Astros vs. Braves odds

It’s no secret that gamblers in Indiana love to bet on baseball. Hoosiers wagered over $52 million on the sport last month, and that interest should carry over into the end of the baseball calendar.

Thankfully, all of the legal sportsbooks in Indiana will be taking bets on the World Series.

The Astros are in the championship round for the third time in the past five years. Houston’s last World Series title came back in 2017.

The Braves, on the other hand, have been through more of a drought.

Atlanta hasn’t been able to claim baseball’s crown since 1995. The team’s last World Series appearance was in 1999.

Houston opened as the -145 favorite to win the series over at BetMGM.

The Astros are also the favorites to win the first game of the World Series. The action is taking place at Minute Maid Park, so Houston will at least have home-field advantage going for them.

Here’s a quick look at the best odds in Indiana for Game 1 of the World Series:

New Indiana sportsbook deals for the World Series

Betting on the latest World Series odds is one thing, but finding the best sportsbook promotions is an entirely different battle.

Indiana’s betting apps already have a handful of deals out there for the World Series. More new promotions will trickle out during the series, so check in with your favorite sportsbook for the complete list of options.

BetMGM $2 For Every Home Run

Nothing’s more fun in baseball than home runs. BetMGM is hoping to capitalize on that with its latest World Series deal.

If you bet at least $25 on any World Series game, then you’ll win a $2 free bet for every home run that either team scores throughout the game. You’ll win those free bets regardless of whether or not the team you bet on wins.

That’s a great way to add some extra value to your wager, especially if you were already planning to bet on the World Series.

You’ll have to sign up at BetMGM Indiana to take advantage of this deal.

After that, just head over to the “Promotions” section of the BetMGM website or app.

Opt-in to the deal, place your moneyline bet on either team to win any World Series game, and enjoy!

BetRivers Home Run Insurance

BetRivers Indiana is also tapping into the home run fun.

The company is offering home run betting insurance throughout the World Series.

If you wager on any player to hit a home run, then you’ll get your money back if your bet loses. The refund will come as a free bet that can be worth up to $50.

However, this deal doesn’t offer guaranteed money back like other risk-free promotions you might see out there. The home run player you bet on will have to record an RBI in order for you to receive your refund.

However, if you’re betting on a player to hit a home run, chances are, you’d be pretty confident in their ability to at least hit an RBI during the game.

If you do use this promotion, just be aware that your refund will expire after seven days.

FanDuel Risk-Free Parlay

FanDuel’s latest promotion is hoping to reel in some parlay bettors.

The sportsbook is offering a risk-free same game parlay wager to World Series gamblers in Indiana.

If you place a same game parlay wager with at least three legs, then FanDuel will refund you if your bet loses. That refund is good for up to $10 of site credit.

Your parlay bet will also need to have odds of at least +400 in order to qualify for the promotion. In other words, a +500 wager would make the cut, but a -100 bet wouldn’t hit the requirement.

It might take up to three days to receive your refund, so don’t panic if it’s not in your account right after the game ends.

This deal is only for the first game of the World Series, but it’s still a solid way to remove some of the risk in parlay betting.

If this sounds like the deal for you, then just create a FanDuel account to get started.
