Posted on November 5, 2020 - Last Updated on March 20, 2024

The Triple Crown races might be over for the year, but there’s still some horse racing action left.

The 2020 Breeders’ Cup is taking place this weekend on Nov. 6 and 7.

Keeneland Racecourse is hosting the race’s 37th running this year.

In total, there’s $31 million up for grabs this weekend. The sport’s biggest names will be getting in on the action.

Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint odds

The Turf Sprint is Friday’s main event. Friday’s action will feature two-year-old horses, so you’ll have to wait until Saturday to see your favorite names from the Triple Crown.

Thankfully, betting on the races is easy in Indiana.

Hoosiers can use TVG or BetAmerica for their horse betting needs. Since the duo are some of the biggest names in horse race betting, they’re experienced helping both new and longtime gamblers.

Jackie’s Warrior is the current favorite to take home the race’s $2 million purse. Here’s a quick look at TVG’s odds for the race:

  • Jackie’s Warrior: 6/4
  • Essential Quality: 5/1
  • Get Her Number: 7/1
  • Freedom Fighter: 9/1
  • Sittin On Go: 10/1
  • Reinvestment Risk: 12/1
  • Vittorio: 16/1
  • Therideofalifetime: 16/1
  • Calibrate: 16/1
  • Speilberg: 16/1
  • Cazadero: 18/1
  • Roderick: 20/1

Jackie’s Warrior dominated in his previous four wins, making him the favorite for this go-around.

With some big wins in the Champagne Stakes and Saratoga, the Maclean’s Music will be hard to beat.

Breeders’ Cup Saturday Odds

There are four races taking place at the Breeders’ Cup this Saturday, but the BC Classic is the grand finale of the weekend.

With a $6 million purse going to the winner, many of the Triple Crown’s participants will be hitting the track.

Post time is 5:13 p.m. for the big race.

Improbable is the favorite to win the race at TVG, at least for now.

  • Improbable: 3/1
  • Tiz The Law: 4/1
  • Maximum Security: 6/1
  • Authentic: 6/1
  • Toms D’Etat: 8/1
  • Swiss Skydiver: 8/1
  • Charlatan: 14/1
  • Code of Honor: 16/1
  • Global Campaign: 16/1
  • Benbatl: 18/1
  • Mucho Gusto: 20/1
  • Maxfield: 20/1
  • By My Standards: 20/1
  • Tacitus: 28/1

The winners of the Triple Crown races are obviously some of the favorites for the Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Tiz The Law won the Belmont Stakes back in June. Authentic came out on top at the Kentucky Derby, and Swiss Skydiver won the Preakness Stakes last month.

All three of the thoroughbreds will certainly be hoping to end the race season on top.

2020 Breeders’ Cup FanDuel Mile

FanDuel is sponsoring one of Saturday’s races at the Breeders’ Cup.

Although you can’t bet on the “FanDuel Mile” at the sportsbook, the daily fantasy side of the company is getting in on the fun.

There’s a new free-to-play contest on the board to pair with the FanDuel-sponsored race.

First thing’s first, you’ll have to sign up for FanDuel in order to take advantage of the contest.

Next up, just head to the daily fantasy side of FanDuel and search for the “Horses” section of its website or app. You’ll find the contest there.

The contest gives users a chance at $1 million.

FanDuel will have you select the order of how you think the horses will finish on Saturday.

If you guess the correct order of all of the horses, then you’ll split the $1 million prize with anyone else that nailed the perfect lineup.

But you can still win some money even if you don’t have a flawless showing.

First place will take home $5,000, second place will win $2,000 and so on.

There’s money to be won and since the contest is free-to-play, you don’t have to risk anything to take part.
