Tropicana Evansville Casino and William Hill sportsbook are looking to draw in bettors for Super Bowl Sunday.
With football leading way as the bread and butter of sports betting popularity in the United States, William Hill is hoping to capitalize on the end of the NFL season.
Their “Big Game Party” will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday and run through the biggest sporting event of the year.
Tickets are $20 at the door. Seating will be first-come, first-served.
Tropicana Evansville generated $1.9 million in handle in December. That was the second-highest retail handle out of the state’s southern licensees. Lawrenceburg’s Hollywood Casino led the pack with nearly $9 million in retail wagers.
Since Tropicana Evansville doesn’t have an online sportsbook partner operating in the state, those in-person bets are the only ones contributing to its handle.
Kentucky doesn’t have legalized sports betting, so Tropicana Evansville is one option for gamblers living close to the border.
The casino is always hoping to draw in some extra business from Indiana’s southern neighbor. The party is one way of doing exactly that.
Live ESPN broadcast to kick off party
The get together will feature a number of amenities for guests, including a broadcast of Gene Whorl and Dan Egierski’s All About Sports.
The Evansville-based radio show is normally found on ESPN 97.7 FM, but will be going live from William Hill to start the event.
Food is a must-have for any Super Bowl party and Tropicana Evansville’s festivities will be no exception. Party guests will have access to an all-you-can-eat buffet throughout the event.
Visitors will also have a chance to win a number of prizes. An Elijah Craig golf bag, various Coors Light prizes, a Yuengling grill, and a Patron Hammock lounge chair will all be on the table. The sportsbook will also offer free $100 bets to add to the prize pool.
Wiliam Hill offering 800+ ways to bet on the Super Bowl
The Indiana Gaming Commission recently approved a list of prop bets for this year’s Super Bowl.
That’s a good thing for bettors who are looking to mix things up a bit, including those visiting Tropicana Evansville.
William Hill will be getting in on the fun at their Super Bowl party. Party guests will be able to place wagers on props such as the result of the opening coin toss.
Additionally, the sportsbook is offering guests a shot at $100,000. To win you’d have to correctly choose all 15 of the “Big Game Props” offered on a $5 parlay card. Visitors will be able to play multiple cards to increase their chances.
Since the Super Bowl is such a popular event, its common for sportsbooks to offer promotions related to the game. Many of those promotions are based around those prop bets, which are an increasingly popular way to bet on the game.
For example, DraftKings is offering its users their own shot at $100,000. Those who place $10 or more on prop bets are entered into a sweepstakes if they opt-in for the jackpot entry.
Although casinos hosting Super Bowl parties is fairly common, William Hill and Tropicana Evansville are certainly putting their own spin on the biggest game of the year.
