Caesars Rewards

Those visiting Caesars Southern Indiana are able to participate in the world-famous Caesars Rewards loyalty program. While practically every casino offers some type of VIP program, Caesars Rewards stands out as one of the best.

The program involves members earning both Reward Credits and Tier Credits whenever they play casino games or spend money on the property. They can similarly earn those credits at other Caesars properties, including Horseshoe Hammond, Horseshoe Indianapolis, and Harrah’s Hoosier Park in Indiana.

Participants can redeem Reward Credits for free casino play at an exchange rate of $1 for every 200 Rewards Credits. Or they redeem those for other rewards, such as discounts at the hotel, spa, restaurants and shops. Poker players can even use Reward Credits to enter WSOP Circuit events, including those taking place at Caesars Southern Indiana.

When it comes to Tier Credits, members earn those whenever they play games or spend money at the property. The amount of Tier Credits you earn during the year determines your tier level. They are as follows:

  • Gold: 0-4,999 Tier Credits
  • Platinum: 5,000-14,999 Tier Credits
  • Diamond: 15,000-24,999 Tier Credits
  • Diamond Plus: 25,000-74,999 Tier Credits
  • Diamond Elite: 75,000-149,999 Tier Credits
  • Seven Stars: 150,000+ Tier Credits (invitation only)

The higher you go, the more rewards and other perks you can earn. These Tier Credits go back to zero at the start of each year, which means everyone goes back to Gold status every Jan. 1 and begins moving up from there.

Other Caesars Southern Indiana promotions

Keep an eye out for other promotions and giveaways at Caesars Southern Indiana. For example, visitors 55 and older can enjoy Reward Credit multipliers and free Tier Credits on Super Senior Wednesdays.

Other promos involve earning free Tier Credits, participating in jackpot drawings for cash prizes and free casino play, plus chances for the highest Tier Credit accumulators to earn cash prizes. All of these promotions require participants to be Caesars Rewards members.

Caesars Southern Indiana history

After Indiana legalized riverboat casinos in 1994, a division of Caesars partnered with Riverboat Development Incorporated to apply for one of the original casino licenses, which they received in 1996. A site was chosen in the southern part of the state on the Ohio River in close proximity to Louisville. On Nov. 20, 1998, the casino opened as Caesars Indiana.

Over the years, the property went through different owners and operators, starting with Caesars World. Later, it was run by Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Park Place Entertainment. In 2002, the state allowed riverboats casinos to dock permanently, and Caesars Indiana did so aside from once-a-year short cruises. In 2008, the property was rebranded as Horseshoe Southern Indiana.

A major renovation began in 2015 to create a land-based structure for the casino and expand the hotel. The hotel was completed in 2017, and on Dec. 9, 2019, the land-based casino was able to open, and the old riverboat was finally retired. At that opening, the property changed its name to Caesars Southern Indiana.

Caesars Southern Indiana Casino FAQ

Technically speaking, the answer is no. Caesars Southern Indiana is a commercial casino, not a tribal casino. The casino is owned by Vici Properties and licenses the use of the Caesars name from Caesars Entertainment. However, the casino is operated by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a Native American tribe based in North Carolina, with EBCI Holdings, LLC as the operating license holder. The tribe took over the casino’s operations in 2021.

Yes, the Caesars Southern Indiana poker room features 16 tables and is open daily.

You must be at least 21 years old to play the slots or table games at Caesars Southern Indiana or to wager on sports at the Caesars Sportsbook in the casino. You also must be at least 21 to play in the casino’s poker room.
